1月14日，希腊文化部周一宣布，雅典卫城博物馆的门票价格将在今年夏天旅游旺季到来时翻番。
从今年4月1日起，门票将从目前的5欧元提高到10欧元。10月，该博物馆还将延长参观时间。在票价涨价期间，打折门票的价格也将上涨到5欧元。
冬季，旅游淡季期间（即11月1至3月31日）。卫城博物馆的正常票价为5欧元，而打折门票的价格为3欧元。
文化部还表示，卫城博物馆将把今年夏季收入的30%捐给文化部，以改善文化部所属博物馆的展览空间。相关决定将由文化部和财政部于近期发布。
文化部称，自2016年以来，希腊的考古遗址和博物馆已经实施了双重门票定价。
雅典卫城博物馆是一个现代与古典相结合的建筑。坐落于希腊雅典卫城山下。占地约2.5万平方米，新的博物馆使参观者仿佛置身于时空走廊，在古老与现代间徘徊。
